Georgian Pear shaped Tea Caddy

Georgian single tea caddy in the form of a Pear, the Georgians where good at making fun and unusual items and this today is one of the rarest and very sort after, typical of the period circa 1790, the carved stalk can be used to open the lid which reveals a faux foil lining and tea remnants,

fruit tea caddies are amazing examples of Georgian treen,

each is slightly different as these are all hand made,

scale 1/12th or 1 inch
made from Fruit-wood, stained, colour blended sealed and hand french polished in the traditional manor like all my work.
